Negative Points

Though the trailer accomplishes the anticipation correctly, it also induces a feeling of déjà vu. The storyline is somewhat predictable with typical components of love, loss, and obsession used by Bollywood several times before. Some of the dialogues are way too melodramatic, and the trailer occasionally treads the line and enters a melodramatic territory that will not be accepted by the target audience looking for something new. The editing might have also been tighter, with a few scenes lingering slightly longer than necessary.

Overall Impression Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat appears to be an honest love story that will have takers among the lovers of strong romance. The acting of Harshvardhan Rane and the appearance of Sonam Bajwa justify the trailer. Though it falls short of a contemporary narrative, the emotional turmoil, soulful sound track, and gothic imagery ensure that the watch is entertaining. An emotional romantic drama trailer which lives on chemistry and emotions, but which might have benefited from a newer plot.
