Yogi Adityanath Vows Strict Action Against ‘Love Jihad’ And Anti-Social Elements In Uttar Pradesh
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Sunday gave a firm warning against activities he called social harmony threats like "Love Jihad," illegal religious conversions, and smuggling of cows. Speaking at a public event in Balrampur, where he inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of 124 development schemes, the Chief Minister also reiterated that the state government would handle anti-national and criminal elements firmly.
Speaking on the occasion, Yogi Adityanath said, "We have to be cautious about anti-national activities like 'Love Jihad,' forced conversion, and cow smuggling.".If someone is found to be involved in such work, people should report it to the police or administration, and we will ensure personally that action is taken."

Giving a stern warning to hooligans, he recalled the recent Bareilly incident where miscreants were caned by the police. "If you attack women, businessmen, or religious processions, be sure you will meet the same fate," he asserted.
His statement came amid recent turmoil in Bareilly after a protest was staged in favor of the "I Love Muhammad" campaign. The protest, which turned ugly, resulted in the arrest of more than four dozen individuals and cleric Tauqeer Raza Khan, leader of the Ittehad-e-Millat Council. Blaming those responsible for the unrest, Yogi accused them of misguiding children. "Children should be learning mathematics and science, not carrying protest banners. Those misleading them are killing their future," he stated.

The Chief Minister also mentioned the example of Chhangur Baba and Maulana betraying Maulana from Balrampur, who is booked on charges of illegal conversions and money laundering, asserting that those who would indulge in the same actions would also suffer the same fate. "Any attempt to violate the law or adopt anti-national plans such as 'Ghazwa-e-Hind' will lead you to destruction," he said.
