BMW M440i: Review, Price, Images, Colours & More

The BMW M440i Convertible has been offered in India with a base price of ₹1.09 Crore (ex-showroom), according to BMW India. With the current introduction of the new model, the company expands its M Performance line up, providing M Performance to buyers looking for a sporty yet luxurious way to enjoy their convertible at the same time.

The new BMW M440i Convertible fits the bill between a luxury convertible and a full-blown sports car giving buyers a good blend of driving capabilities both in the city and on the highway.

Design And Exterior

• With sleek and aggressive styling, the Ford Mustang has a long wheelbase (front to rear axle) for a performance look, and a low ride height, which provides good aerodynamics. It has a fabric roof that opens in 18 seconds, even while driving 0-50 km/h.
• In addition to featuring BMW's signature grille and BMW's signature LED headlights, the vehicle also has an edge wider than the norm with M Sport bumpers to improve the feel of the athleticism.
• The wheels on the vehicle are 19-inch (482mm) custom designed alloy wheels with M insignia subtly placed around coned outer edge of wheel and small M treated flanges on the rims to give the appearance of having larger wheels.
• The rear of the BMW M440i Convertible has contemporary LED tail lamps that accentuate the styling of the vehicle along with well thought-out bumper contours that all create balance between upscale and sport appeal.

Engine And Performance

• BMW M440i Convertible is a highly capable sports car with excellent performance attributes due to its 3.0 liter 6cylinder twin turbocharged engine that produces 374PS(max output) and has an average torque rating of 490Nm. To further improve the vehicle's acceleration and increase fuel efficiency, this model also features a 48V mild hybrid electric motor.
• XDrive is the type of all-wheel-drive in BMW's M440I, which uses an 8-speed Steptronic automatic transmission designed by BMW to power both rear and front axles.
• The M440I can sprint to 100KPH in under five seconds and has a maximum speed of 250KPH (155 mph) due to governor restrictions.

Interior and Features

One feature of the BMW M440i Convertible's interior is the number of luxurious features.. This is supported by an easy-to-use technology package that allows for quick access to navigation and media or entertainment systems. The latest iDrive 8 uses a 14.9" touchscreen to provide an interface for drivers, in conjunction with a 12.3” digital gauge cluster, Bluetooth for mobile phones, voice control, ambient lighting and a Harman/Kardon sound system.
