‘Raaka’ (AA22 x A6) starring Allu Arjun has created excitement amongst audiences, merely by revealing its title and first-look poster. Atlee, the director of Raaka, promises a grand visual experience with a unique storyline through the use of intriguing images, such as an intense image of Arjun, who has never worn a bald head before and has kohl eyeliner on his eyes with markings on his forehead that suggest something mysterious. The inclusion of 'animal-like' claws not only adds wildness to Arjun's character, but creates a mythical aspect as well. Within only a few days of the release of the first-look poster and no additional information released about the film whatsoever, the film has captured audiences' attention with huge expectations!  

Storyline

 At this time, the storyline has been kept a complete secret by all of the filmmakers which is creating even more interest for audiences. Based on the teaser and poster released, the film may contain an extremelly dark, dramatic, intense storyline with possibly a fantasy theme. The animal-like claws and Viking-like markings could lead the audiences to believe Arjun's character may be a barbaric/primitive character - possibly a warrior character or even an other-worldly character. Based on Atlee's success with creating box office films that appeal to what audiences want while integrating Emotional and Action Storylines - we expect that Raaka will contain many dramatic scenes along with high levels of Action!!! 

Positive Points

Allu Arjun has made a remarkable change with his new look, signalling that he's ready to push creative boundaries in different directions. Atlee is well-known as a master at creating stunning visuals, so he will have no doubt prove himself to the entertainment world and be an asset to this particular film as well. Also, the film is significant in terms of its large scope and quality production and will feature numerous VFX artists who have worked on other blockbuster films such as Iron Man 2 and Transformers. Together, this contributes to Raaka's potential to change the way visuals are represented in Indian cinema. The film has the added benefit of mystery which has created anticipation among the audience.

Negative Points

The lack of specific details is currently a severe negative. While mystery will create excitement, it may also cause the audience to have false hopes. There is also concern that the film could end up being too visually focused or overly spectacular, thereby, taking away from the story. In addition, the "genre" of the film is undefined, meaning that if the movie strays too far into the realm of experimentation that the film may not attract every segment of the audience.
