Ek Din Trailer Review: Junaid Khan And Sai Pallavi’s Romantic Drama Promises A Magical Love Story
The new romantic drama Ek Din just released its trailer, giving fans a little sneak peek into what will happen in this story of fate, passion, and the surprise turns of life as told through the eyes of two people who have fallen in love unexpectedly. Junaid Khan and Sai Pallavi will star in the film directed by Sunil Pandey. Aamir Khan Productions produced the film with Aamir Khan, Mansoor Khan, and Aparna Purohit serving as producers. The scripts for the film were written by Sneha Desai and Spandan Mishra. From the trailer, we see the story arc of the main character and that part of the film will include a romantic element based upon an unexplainable connection between two people that up until this point have never met.
STORYLINE
The trailer opens with Junaid setting up in a snowy area, and talking about a bell that is called "the bell of destiny." He tells the man standing with him about all the heartbroken people all over the world that have rung this bell to find out if they will ever get their chance at love. The man laughs and doubtfully says that Junaid's love luck would never change. He rings the bell while looking at Meera (played by Sai Pallavi). The moment he rings, he makes a wish that they are together, if only for just one day. Shortly after his wish was made, their paths cross, and they will spend time together with beautiful scenes around them.
There are many cute moments in the trailer among both characters, including a humorous challenge put forth by Meera for him to keep eye contact with her for one minute, and when he does so, she is too shy to actually look at him throughout the challenge. Although the relationship seems to have its joyous sides, it shows that it isn’t without troubles, evidenced by the one scene where Meera slaps him, a sign of him breaking that trust. At the end of the trailer, Meera shares an emotional moment with him, hugging him, "Today was the most beautiful day of my life," to which he responds, "You won’t remember this day tomorrow."
Positive Points
In the trailer, there are many emotional scenes. Ram Sampath composed and Irshad Kamil enhance the romantic atmosphere of the film. There was definitely chemistry between Junaid Khan and Sai Pallavi that adds an element of realism, uniqueness and passion to the film.
Negative Points
Destiny-based romance is very exciting; however, some scenes shown in the trailer may appear a bit predictable. The creators are also keeping tight-lipped regarding the big surprise twist of this story; as such, it could cause viewers to ask how (or if) this story will take a turn.

Overall: The trailer gives us an idea of what would be a beautiful and emotional story, juxtaposed against the themes of destiny, memories and those fleeting moments which we find to be pleasurable. If the acting is as good as the music and images, then this could be a romantic drama that appeals to fans of this type of movie. The film will premiere in theatres on 1 May 2026.
