XO Kitty Season 3 Review: Lara Jean Returns As Kitty Faces Romance, Drama And Senior Year Challenges
The third season trailer for XO, Kitty, a Netflix show, is finally available, and fans are getting an idea of what Kitty Song Covey will experience in the near future! April 2 will witness the première of the newest season of XO KITTY and with it, the viewers will get a further injection of romance, drama and emotion as they will see Kitty begin her last year at school. So what can viewers expect to see when they tune in to watch this inaugural episode? Long time viewers of the series will also experience the new series with a cameo appearance from Lara Jean Covey (Lana Condor), making it clear that in addition to seeing Lara Jean pop up in the new series, the twinning events between the stand alone universe of XO KITTY and the original book/movie, TO ALL THE BOYS, will continue!
Plot Summary
In season three, Katherine "Kitty" Song Covey is starting her senior year at KISS (Korean International School of Seoul). She has decided to make the most of her senior year by creating a bucket list of experiences called the "summer sunset"! Kitty's bucket list includes doing things such as: going to a traditional Chuseok dinner; dealing with applying for colleges; and dealing with her complex feelings for Min Ho, who is portrayed by Sang Heon Lee! Kitty has plenty on her mind when she starts the school year.
Positive Points
Even though this trailer shows that there could be obstacles ahead, it helps me believe in a bright future, largely due to the energy, youthfulness and emotional nature of the show itself. In addition, seeing a new side to Lara Jean should appease fans who liked her character and want to recapture that feeling of nostalgia from her story so they can connect with her again through Kitty’s character arc. Furthermore, both romance and cultural exploration provide rich subject matter and are tied directly into the overall tone and feel of this series bringing the viewers into the high school social scene and making it interesting after very little time in school. Finally, Kitty has an incredibly strong character development arc this coming season because she is growing as an individual while trying to maintain and build relationships and pursue her goals all at once.
Negative Points
Even though this trailer is exciting for fans, many of the scenes could have been done in previous seasons and are therefore predictable. While looking at some of the previous seasons, there are a lot of problems between Kitty and Min Ho that seem to continue. Some of the other problems in the trailer also show that there might be a big reliance on misunderstanding and awkward situations in order to move along this story.

Fans of the series will have much to be excited about when the new season of the series becomes available on April 2.
