The Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold is a new multimodal device from Samsung; it's Samsung's first multi-fold form factor, expanding into a tablet size 10" display when folded out. This cutting-edge phone, tablet and pocket-sized device was announced in South Korea, and while pricing worldwide isn't yet available, the South Korea launch provides a good indication of what the device can provide in other markets.
The Galaxy Z TriFold features an advanced Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, a triple camera arrangement, Android 16 on top of One UI 8.0, and has an impressive 5600mAh battery capacity to support its ambitious new folding technology.
Revolutionary Multi-Folding Design
The Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold utilizes an all-new tri-fold design with dual hinges at different sizes and a sturdy dual rail system so that the phone can be folded in two different ways - from compact phone mode to wide dual screen mode, to a full 10 inch tablet style. With the dual rail system and multiple fold styles, this new design provides more flexibility and durability than traditional one-piece phones and provides more stability and user control in their use of the phone.
Dual Displays: 10-inch Main Screen + 6.5-inch Cover Display
When opened to its full size, the TriFold phone comes with a 10-inch AMOLED screen. This huge screen allows you to do many things at once as well as read, watch video, and play games. In addition, there is a smaller 6.5-inch external screen, which allows easy access to the frequently used features of the device. The 6.5 inch cover display can be used like a regular smartphone screen - when users want to quickly check their text messages, phone calls, and send text messages without having to open the phone.
Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy (3nm Chipset)
Samsung's Galaxy TriFold smartphone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Chipset, manufactured using a 3-NM technology process, which runs at faster Speeds than the previous version of the Snapdragon chipset. In addition to Higher Performance and Speeds, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Chipset also has been Designed to use Less Power than Older Versions of the Snapdragon Chipset.This advanced technology allows customers to view video and play games through their primary display while simultaneously viewing another program through a secondary screen without interruptions.

Price and Date of Availability
In South Korea, Samsung has listed the Galaxy Z TriFold at a retail price of KRW 3,594,000 (approx. ₹2.20 Lakh) for the 16 GB + 512 GB version. Conversion rates for approximate equivalent prices in other countries indicate it will be priced as follows:

Various media sources have indicated that the price of the TriFold could be 30% higher than the Galaxy Z Fold 7, which would put its price at about $2,990 in the United States. For devices to be sold in the UK, Europe, and India, the expected prices would be GBP 2,680, EUR 2,680, and INR 2,44,000 respectively, but these are only estimates until Samsung releases official information for these countries.
