Samsung continues its tradition of making great flagship smartphones, and the S26 Ultra is no exception. Although the S26 Ultra has a lot to offer in terms of innovative technology, it's actually very similar to previous ultra-series phones regarding shape/size and camera layout (which has been identical across all preceding ultra-phones).

Even having the same general physical design, both models have undergone many changes with the introduction of multiple updates to enhance the S26 & make it more or less of an upgrade compared to its predecessor, ultimately improving upon the flagship model line of 2026.

Key Features

  • S26 Ultra is the introduction of a new privacy screen that will allow a user to have either one or two separate screens appear on the S26 Ultra without being able to see what is on either screen if your view angle is less than 90 degrees to each respective screen. This means you can use the S26 Ultra when laying down flat on a horizontal surface (like a sofa), and you do not need to be concerned about someone nearby seeing any of your personal information when using the S26 Ultra
  • Samsung has a display of 6.9-inch AMOLED with a resolution of 3120 × 1440 which is capable of refreshing at variable refresh rates, up to 120 Hz. The S26 Ultra’s new Privacy Display helps to protect your private information when using your phone in public.

  • The Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy chipset powers the phone, which is available with 12 GB or 16 GB of RAM and can be purchased with up to 1 TB of internal storage. Its improved Neural Processing Unit (NPU) provides significant benefits for AI performance in multiple features, including photo editing, call screening and smart recommendations; this will assist the user in creating beautiful photos.
  • The camera specifications for this device include a 200 MP main camera, 50 MP 5X telephoto camera, 10 MP 3X telephoto camera, 50 MP ultra-wide angle camera, and 12 MP front facing camera. All of the sensors remain the same as those found on the previous version, however the main (wide) and telephoto cameras will have larger apertures which will help to allow more ambient light through to the sensor, ‘greatly enhancing low-light photography.…
  • The battery with 5,000 mAh which provides excellent battery life. Charging has been improved faster by speed as well as the ability to have both wired (up to 60 watts) and wireless (up to 25 watts) charges.

Price: S26 Ultra's price start from 1,39,999 which puts it in the premium category for smartphones. Even though the price point of this phone is quite high, it largely corresponds with last year's model (which was significantly less than what its predecessor had in terms of specs).

Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra does not make a dramatic change; however, it does build upon what has already been a very solid product. The S26 Ultra is a very good full-featured Android phone that has a high-quality processor, great quality cameras, excellent battery life, and a new display that focuses on user privacy. Users who are upgrading from last year's model will probably not see significant differences; however, users who are coming from older models will have an excellent, high-quality flagship device in the S26 Ultra.
