ENHYPEN’s Heeseung Leaves Group After Six Years, Plans Solo Debut

K-Pop group ENHYPEN has officially announced that Heeseung will leave the group after 6 years. The agency managing the group, BELIFT LAB, announced the news via the group’s official social media channels on March 10, 2026.

According to announcement made, Heeseung and some other ENHYPEN members receiving full support from BELIFT in the way they would like ENHYPEN’s to go musically and through film for a long time and it became clear that Heeseung wanted to pursue his own musical vision so therefore BELIFT will allow him to leave the group for a solo project to honor that vision.

Fans React As Group Becomes Six Members

ENHYPEN left 6 members will continue to promote as a group of 6-member. ENHYPEN debuted on November 30, 2020 as the winning group of the REALITY SURVIVAL SHOW I-LAND. Their debut mini album, Border: Day One featured the title track Given-Taken and offered immediate traction within the global K-Pop market place.
The original formation of the boy band consisted of seven members; heeseung (24), Jay, Jake, Sunghoon, Sunoo, Jungwon (Group Leader), and Ni-Ki.

The group has continued to prove their combined strength through the growth of their international fan-base (ENGENES), considering their commercial success from their creative music, performances and story concepts they have established themselves as a Leading Fourth GENERATION K-POP group.

According to an official media statement, BELIFT LAB understands the emotional burden this announcement will have on their fanbase. The agency has stated that they recognize that the announcement will likely elicit a variety of mixed emotions from their fanbase.

Despite Heeseung's exit from ENHYPEN, his BELIFT LAB contract continues, which allows him an expansive number of chances to create and put out his own work — his first solo single is due out in the near future! Although he is not an official member of ENHYPEN anymore, supporters of Heeseung can continue to empower Heeseung in his own efforts and his musical direction while providing support in regards to Heeseung's musical style.

Last Album As Seven Members

This past January, ENHYPEN released their seventh mini album, THE SIN : VANISH on January 16, 2026. This was to be their last album released as a seven-person band. The record was extremely well received with 1.65 million copies sold on the first day and debuted at #2 on the Billboard 200 chart. However, when it was announced that member Heeseung would be leaving the group, many of their fans around the globe were stunned.

Going forward as a six member group and Heeseung on his own, the K-pop industry will be paying close attention to the future of both the artist and the shipment.
