SS Innovations Achieves 100 Robotic Telesurgeries, Conducts India’s First Marathon Robotic Surgery Milestone
SS Innovations International Inc. (SSII) is the creator of India’s first ever homegrown surgical robotic system, SSII Mantra. The company has landed another landmark achievement by performing a total of 100 robotic telesurgeries. This is a significant feat for technology-enabled health care as this indicates it is possible to perform complex surgical procedures through distance safely & reliably by using an indigenous product.
To celebrate this accomplishment, SSII conducted the first-ever Marathon Robotic Telesurgery in India with over 20 robotic surgeries in one day. The marathon secured the clinical validation of SSII Mantra platform in a real-world scenario and demonstrated that it is precise, safe and scalable to multiple surgical specialties. The event also highlighted how crucial robotic telesurgery is to increasing the strength of the health care infrastructure and continuing to deliver specialized care to patients who live outside of urban areas.

The Marathon Robotic Telesurgery event had participation from top surgeons in multiple specialties who shared their thoughts on how well the platform worked.
