Renault Duster 2024

Renault has unveiled the latest iteration of its Duster SUV, previously showcased under the Dacia brand last year. The Renault version boasts subtle aesthetic modifications, as depicted in the recently released images.

Specifications

  • Exterior Changes: Notable exterior alterations include the prominent display of the "Renault" branding in place of the traditional logo, mirroring the design of the Dacia variant. Furthermore, all Dacia logos on the SUV have been replaced with "Renault" insignias, enhancing brand coherence.

  • Dimensions and Design: Built on a robust platform, the new Duster presents a more imposing stance, measuring 4.34 meters in length, slightly longer than its predecessor. The SUV exudes a rugged aesthetic while featuring a sleeker appearance. Additionally, Renault plans to introduce a seven-seater version inspired by the Dacia Bigster concept, albeit at a later date. The Duster's wheelbase has been marginally reduced to 2,657mm.

  • Exterior Features: The Duster inherits design elements from its Dacia counterpart, including slender Y-shaped LED daytime lights, vertical bumper air vents with round fog lights, and a lower grille resembling a flattened bull bar. The vehicle sports 18-inch alloy wheels with a simplistic design and features a Y-shaped tail-light and bumper design reminiscent of the Dacia Duster at the rear.

  • Interior Highlights: The dashboard layout remains largely similar, albeit with distinct finishing and seat covers exclusive to the Renault version. The top model comes equipped with two digital displays—a 7.0-inch screen for driver information and a 10.1-inch touchscreen for entertainment. While both Dacia and Renault Duster models offer screens of the same size, they differ in display menus' styles and colors.

  • Technology and Safety: Both variants share technological features such as wireless charging, wireless connectivity for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, automated air conditioning, and a six-speaker Arkamys sound system. Advanced safety features include automatic emergency braking, detection systems for vehicles, pedestrians, cyclists, and motorcyclists, traffic sign recognition, lane change assistance, and rear parking assistance.

  • Powertrain: The Duster is anticipated to offer the same engine options as its Dacia counterpart. This includes a 1.6-liter petrol hybrid engine with two electric motors, a 130hp 1.2-liter turbocharged petrol engine with a 48V starter motor, and a 1.0-liter petrol-LPG engine available in select markets. Notably, there won't be a diesel variant offered.

  • Off-road Capability: The Duster boasts various driving modes such as Auto, Snow, Mud/Sand, Off-road, and Eco. With a ground clearance of 217mm, the SUV can tilt forward at 31 degrees and backward at 36 degrees without ground contact.
