Ms. Ramniet S Mukherjee, a dynamic human rights activist hailing from the Tricity region, has been honored with the prestigious ReX Karamveer Chakra Award by the International Confederation of NGOs (ICONGO) and the United Nations (UN). The recognition took place at the three-day conference organized by ICONGO under the auspices of the United Nations at Shiv Nadar School in the Delhi NCR region.

As the founder of HI-Helping India Trust, Ms. Mukherjee has established herself as a renowned international MSME growth coach and a TedX speaker. Expressing her elation after receiving the award, she expressed gratitude for the support and encouragement she has received in carrying out public services to the best of her capacity. Ms. Mukherjee emphasized feeling a heightened sense of responsibility towards humanity, emphasizing the need for ongoing efforts to secure a better future for the new generation. She advocates for peace and love as the essential elements of shaping the new world.

Notably, she stands as the first and only differently-abled woman who ventured into Uttarakhand during the 2013 natural calamity, earning recognition for her courageous efforts from the Vice President of India.

In addition to her humanitarian efforts, Ms. Mukherjee made history by being the first candidate to file a nomination for the Lok Sabha polls in 2019 for the Chandigarh Constituency.
