Daredevil Born Again Season 2 Review: Krysten Ritter Returning As Jessica Jones In Intense First Look
For fans of Marvel, the new trailer for Daredevil Season 2: Born Again offers a glimpse into what you can expect in terms of the storyline being deeper and darker, more action-packed scenes, and more drama due to the expanding city of New York that provides a backdrop for the new series. It also brings back Krysten Ritter's portrayal of Jessica Jones to the series as well. So be sure to watch closely to see how this series develops over the course of the season! The return of Charlie Cox in the title role as Matt Murdock / Daredevil and Vincent D'Onofrio's return as Wilson Fisk (aka Kingpin) tells us that the next few episodes will see one of the most significant street fights in Marvel Cinematic Universe history.
Storyline
Season 2 is about Wilson Fisk's power increase since becoming mayor and attempting to cement himself more firmly into New York City. As Fisk consolidates both his political and criminal power, he has ultimately become more dangerous than he has ever been before. Meanwhile, as Matt Murdock (Daredevil) is fighting on the streets to help the people of Hell’s Kitchen, he is trying to expose all of the corrupt acts of Wilson Fisk, from behind the scenes. With the Mayor committing multiple acts of corruption, the city has continued to be in a state of turmoil; Matt Murdock appears to be at one of the lowest points in his life, but there are some who believe that Jessica Jones may provide support to him that leads to speculation about an eventual team-up between the two of them that could shift the power dynamic in New York City.
Points Points
Some of the best parts in the trailer for are that Krysten Ritter returns as Jessica Jones. Jessica Jones inclusion in the MCU will provide a new perspective to an area of the MCU which is already very well documented; this area consists of characters that are street-level heroes or vigilantes that work in the urban environment. This addition will also give Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) who returns to the series as Daredevil an opportunity to utilize the same emotional depth (intensity), vulnerability and physicality when implying the character as he did previously during the series run of Daredevil. Vincent D'Onofrio as Wilson "Kingpin" Fisk returns with the same intensity and physically imposing presence he displayed in previous seasons. The fact the trailer has an overall gritty appearance and feel with much of the action being grounded and dark based on the action being shown in the trailer. The cast members who will play an integral role in supporting the primary characters by providing character arc/development and moments for emotion throughout each episode include: Deborah Ann Woll, Wilson Bethel.
Negaive Points
The trailer gives a very good idea of what to expect in terms of exciting content, but there is still little information about the primary plot for viewers to understand where everything fits into the story. With limited information available, many characters, like Mr. Charles, will continue to remain mysterious and fans are going to have many questions about how they will connect with the overall storyline. Another area of frustration for viewers is the fact that the trailer focuses primarily on creating an atmosphere and showing action sequences, rather than providing substantial character information therefore viewers will not gain any familiarity with the characters prior to the first episode of the series.

Overall: The Daredevil: Born Again Season Two trailer has people very excited about this new series that features powerful performances, a darker atmosphere and by introducing Jessica Jones back into the Marvel Universe as well. If the rest of the season delivers the same intensity found in this trailer, it will be one of Marvel's best television productions ever.
