The main character of the story ‘Chandra’ is a strong supernatural female warrior, which is inspired by the folklore of famous Yakshi ‘Kalliyankattu Neeli’. From a technical point of view, the film is extremely intresting and impressive. Nemish Ravi’s cinematography, Jakes Bejoy’s music, Bangalan’s production design, and VFX—all combine to create a world-class experience. The film’s international appeal is also reflected in the ‘Star Wars’-style base and setup.

Kalyani Priyadarshan is the face of Chandra. Her emotion, action and charisma click through the film. The choreographer of the film Sandy Master also shines in his mischievous form. Nazal Nazim, Chandu Salim Kumar and Arun Kurien's carefree gang provides a dash of humour and warm friendship to the film.

The screenplay of the film is tight, and the first half has the viewers engaged. A twist surprises the sluggish pace prior to the climax. The mid- and post-credits scenes Of the movie provide a glimpse of the wondrous world that is still yet to come.
