SS Innovations Unveils SSII MantrAsana, World’s First Portable Tele Surgeon Console, Revolutionizing Remote Robotic Surgery
SS Innovation International, Inc. (Nasdaq: SSII), a developer of innovative surgical robotic technologies dedicated to making robotic surgery affordable and accessible to the global population, has once again redefined the boundaries of innovation with the unveiling of the world's first Telesurgeon Console (TSC), the SSII Mantrasana.
Mantrasana, the Portable Telesurgery Console
Mantrasana, the world's first fully integrated, ergonomic, and portable telesurgery console for remote precision surgery, is poised to revolutionize global robotics, transcending geographical boundaries. It demonstrates how surgical expertise can now be extended from any specialist surgeon's office to a small design of Telesurgeon Console (TSC), eliminating the need to tie up an entire operating room to access the console for performing telesurgery. This revolutionary innovation in robotic technology marks a pivotal moment in the evolution of surgical care, enabling expert surgeons to perform remote operations through a compact, self-contained robotic system designed and manufactured entirely in India for the world.
Eminent Experts Participated
The event was attended by eminent experts from the medical and surgical community, including Dr. Sudhir Srivastava, Founder and Chairman of SS Innovations International; Dr. Sudhir Rawal, Medical Director of Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute and Research Centre; Dr. Vishwa Srivastava, Chief Executive Officer, APAC, SS Innovations International; Dr. Lalit Malik, Chief Cardiac Surgeon, Jaipur Manipal Hospital; Dr. Somshekhar SP, Chairman of the Medical Advisory Board, Aster DM Healthcare, GCC and India; and Dr. Venkatesh Munikrishnan, Consultant Colorectal and Robotic Surgeon, Apollo Hospitals.
A significant step towards making surgery accessible
Speaking at the launch, Dr. Sudhir Srivastava, Founder and Chairman of SS Innovations International, said, "With the TeleSurgeon Console, we are taking a significant step towards making advanced surgery accessible to all. Through MantraSan, TSC, we are demonstrating how Indian innovation can transform healthcare delivery by bringing surgeons' expertise directly to patients, regardless of geography. The console's compact size will allow surgeons to perform telesurgery from their own offices. Therefore, telesurgery no longer requires the confines of an operating room or the entire Mantra system. A major advantage of the console's compact size is that it is a self-contained chair with all electronic equipment built into the chair. Surgeons wear very lightweight goggles that provide a magnified 3D view and use magnetic sensor-based controls to remotely control the robotic system's movements. This should be seen as a breakthrough where these small devices can be used to perform telesurgery." Telesurgery units can be placed anywhere to enhance expertise."
Representing a new era
Speaking at the launch of SSII Mantrasan, Dr. Sudhir Rawal, Medical Director, Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute and Research Centre, said, "This technology enables surgeons to expand their expertise far beyond the confines of a hospital. This will benefit patients, as the best surgeons and the highest standards of care will now be available to them, no matter where they are. Mantrasan TSC represents a new era in surgical innovation, combining advanced robotics, precise control, and immersive 3D visualization to make remote surgery a reality."
Providing life-saving procedures to patients
Developed as part of SS Innovation International's mission to decentralize excellence, Mantrasan TSC allows expert surgeons to extend their robotic skills beyond physical boundaries and provide life-saving procedures to patients anywhere in the world.
Expected to be available globally
MantraAsan TSC is designed for efficiency, comfort, and connectivity. Its compact, ergonomic footprint allows it to be installed in the surgeon's office, enabling remote procedures without taking up space in the operating theater. Surgeons experience seamless precision through an advanced headset that provides magnified 3D HD visualization, while maintaining the same accuracy and outcomes as traditional robotic surgery. MantraAsan TSC also supports global collaboration, guidance, and skill development of surgical teams, which aligns perfectly with SS Innovations International's vision of democratizing robotic surgery and expanding access to advanced medical technologies. MantraAsan TSC is expected to be commercially available in India by December 2025 and globally thereafter.
